Gallium Lighting – The LED Advantage

Globe HandsGallium’s LED luminaires outperform conventional compact fluorescent luminaires in every respect:

Energy Efficient

Gallium’s Open Optics architecture provides market-leading luminaire efficacy of 72 lumens per watt, which is 60% higher than typical T-8 fluorescent lighting fixtures. LED fixtures are perfect for use with occupancy sensors because the service life is unaffected by frequent on-off switching.

Ultra-Low Maintenance

The latest LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours service life, which equates to 25 years when operated during normal business hours.

Environmentally Friendly

Unlike fluorescent bulbs, LEDs are mercury-free and require no special disposal procedures, and building owners do not need to be concerned about complying with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s recommended procedures for cleaning up broken fluorescent light bulbs.

High Color Rendering Index

With a color rendering index (CRI) of up to 92, today’s LEDs are better than or equal to many popular fluorescent lamps.

Safe

Safe operation due to the low voltage circuitry used to drive LEDs, and no ultraviolet or other harmful emissions.

Reliable

Instantaneous, flicker-free start in temperatures as low as -40ºC (-40ºF). Gallium fixtures are designed and manufactured in the USA, and backed by the Gallium Guarantee.

Durable

Superb reliability since LEDs have none of the fragile glass coverings or filaments characteristic of conventional lamps that can fail during shipment or installation. LEDs can withstand physical shocks that would shatter conventional lamps.

Cool Operation

LEDs radiate very little heat, providing a high level of comfort and low cooling load.

Fresh New Look

The GS6 square downlight delivers almost 1,400 lumens from a diminutive 6″ (150mm) aperture, and provides a fresh new look for upscale spaces. The point source lighting adds definition and interest to objects in the space. Specially designed optical systems provide a full 45° shielding to eliminate distracting glare.
